What a live session is
A live session is a scheduled or on-air broadcast inside a club: a host reads, presents, or discusses a work while members watch, listen, and post in the club discussion. Sessions are hosted by the club host, not by readerxo.
Joining and leaving
Members join an open session from the club. A member may leave a session at any time. Leaving a session does not leave the club, and does not cancel a membership.
Camera, microphone, and raising a hand
Camera and microphone access is requested only inside a call route and is never enabled without the browser prompt. Members joining an active room start muted with the camera off and may raise a hand to ask to speak. A host decides who is brought on air.
Recording
A host may record a session. A recording may be published to the club Archive, where club members can watch it later. Do not join a session if you do not want your participation recorded while you are on air.
Transcripts
Automated transcripts may be produced from a recorded session. A host controls whether a transcript is visible to club members or kept private to the host.
Conduct on air
The Acceptable Use Policy applies to everything said, shown, or posted during a session. A host may remove a participant from a room. readerxo may end a session that violates these rules or the law.
Availability
Live streaming depends on your network, your device, and third-party infrastructure. readerxo does not guarantee that a session will start on time, run without interruption, or be recorded successfully.
Rights in what is broadcast
A host is responsible for holding the rights to read, perform, or display any work in a session. Do not broadcast material you are not permitted to use.
